Out to the Soda Fountain

Where do you go on a sick day with a child who’s not THAT sick? To the Elmwood Pharmacy, where there’s a great soda fountain. And what do you eat? A frankenwich (grilled cheese with a hot dog inside!) and a chocolate shake. Oh, and a pickle.
Don’t forget though, if you let your child roam around the pharmacy unattended, well:

I love the warning sign–very funny. I hope the Tiffin child was fully healed by that powerful lunch, but hmmm, could it be that he just really wanted his Mom?
Do you love the laptop lunchbox? I have been gazing longingly. Let me know how you like it.

Wow! I’m stealing the frankenwich. Hot dogs are one of those guilty pleasures for me. And that sign is priceless.

Looks sort of like Steak and Shake. Grilled cheese with hot dogs? Sounds good. I’ve done it with bacon, but not with hot dogs.

Best threatening notice ever. That’s going to come under serious consideration for my office door.
A frankenwich. I want one now!

Re-dad, I did not myself eat any part of that frankenwich, but that’s only because when I looked over at his plate, it was gone.
Sue, Steak and Shake. Very Kansas City.
Scott, I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that it might have been one of those worthy Niman hotdogs, the kind with no nitrates and no weird animal parts. That might or might not be true. But we believe what we need to believe.
Mary, I do. Tiny Tiffin was not so sure at first about whether he wanted it, but he loves it now.
